How to Get to the Next Module

In order to go to the next module ("Learning Strategies) or any other module, the system does not automatically direct you. After completing/passing the present module's quiz, you must click on the next module's tab (see red box on the screenshot below). If that doesn't work, then click the "Complete and Continue" tab on the upper right portion of the screen (see red box on the screenshot below).

Time Out/Course Progress Issue?

Some videos are over 3 hours long. On videos longer than 30 minutes, make sure that you regularly log in and out to record course progress. You don't have to, but it does help because everyone's browser is different. This prevents the student from turning on the video and then walking away without listening to the content. Otherwise, we can't certify 40 hours of training! Sometimes the system will log you out and not record your progress; in such case, you would have to play the video again. Most of the time, the issue is with your browser.

Trouble Shooting Procedures

First, temporarily disable any adblocker extensions you may have installed to your browser.

  • Since many issues can be caused by saved browsing data, you should try clearing your browser cache next.
  • If this doesn't work, then we also recommend trying again while using a private (incognito) browser window.
  • If you're still having issues, then it's important to make sure that your browser is up to date, running the most recent available version. So please try to update your browser next.
  • If an updated browser doesn't resolve the issue, the next step is to try a different browser. We recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
  • Finally, please try using a different network connection.

If you’re unsure how to open a private browsing window, here are a few articles detailing how to go about this when using one of our supported browsers:

Safari

Firefox

Chrome

Edge

If they've tried all of those steps and are still having trouble, please provide some more details (screenshots are especially helpful) and I'd be happy to work with you further to get this straightened out. My email address is [email protected] Please be patient. It may take several days for me to return your message. ----- Shaun Sundahl

Laptop/Desktop Recommended

We've received a complaint that there was an issue watching/attending the course on a cell phone. When using a cell phone or other "smart device," the browser you are using may not be 100% compatible. We HIGHLY recommend you attend this course using a laptop or desktop computer so that your progress will be saved appropriately. Some of the videos are 3+ hours long so you want the course to give you credit for every second you spend!
